SA marathon, the details


Thanks to Anne's husband John, we arrived at the start in plenty of time. We found the port a potties, I located corral 1, and then I ask Doug where our bag drop is...
At the END of all of the corrals! Oh no!
I bustle through the crowd to find a group of UPS trucks..and I should have know that the setup would return post-race to haunt me.
At least the jog back was a nice warmup!

Mile 2 - 7:03 yikes!


mile 3 - 6:59 double yikes-here's when I let the pace group go

mile 5 - 7:36 big hill, and trying to work my GU belt


mile 6- 6:48 There's the downhill!!

mile 8- 7:07 (I can only assume..dividing a 1414 total)

mile 13 - 7:15 (I hit the half in 1:34:15, 45 seconds cushion for a 3:10)
